Ft. Lauderdale/Port Everglades Offsite Check-in FAQ


Port Everglades Cruise Customers with Ticketless Southwest Airlines reservations may now check up to two (2) bags for a fee of $20 per person with our offsite check-in service that will deliver your bags from the cruise ship back to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Additional fees apply for additional, excess, overweight, and oversized bags. This pre-paid service is provided through Bags to Go Enterprises at Terminal 1, Carousel #6 in the Baggage Claim area, at their conveniently located checkin counters at Port Everglades, and, starting soon, at the Port of Miami2.

1. How much does it cost for this service?

This service, which must be purchased before embarking on the cruise, is $20 per person, and Customers may check up to two (2) bags each. additional fees apply for additional, excess, overweight, and oversized bags.


2. Where in Ft. Lauderdale is this service offered?

This service must be pre-paid at the desk adjacent to Southwest Airlines Carousel 6 in the baggage claim area of Terminal 1 before embarking on the cruise. Available only for cruise Customers traveling from Port Everglades. Weekend Hours of Service: Friday 4:30pm - 10:00pm, Saturday/Sunday: 9:30am - 3:30pm

How long do I have to check my bag before my flight leaves?

The service is pre-paid upon your arrival at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport before you embark on your cruise. Baggage will be accepted on the cruise ship only for those flights departing Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after 12:00pm.


4. May I have my friend check my bag for me?

All Customers must check in in person and must present a valid government issued ID at the time of checkin (Drivers License, Passport, etc.).


5. Can I check my bags if I have a paper ticket?

No. The reservation must be Ticketless (e-ticketed).


6. What if my reservation requires screening from a TSA agent?

To use the service, Customers must not be selected for additional screening by the TSA. You may get a refund at the port if you discover you have been selected for additional screening.


7. What if my bag weighs more than 50 pounds?

Applicable “heavy” or excess fees will be paid by Customer when checking in at the port. Check out our baggage policy for additional information.


8. How far in advance may I check my bags?

Service must be pre-paid upon your arrival into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. We will accept all pre-paid bags for any flight departing after 12:00pm from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, once released from the cruise ship. We will deliver all pre-paid bags to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
